Usagi Yojimbo: The Hidden #3

While continuing to investigate the murder of two strangers to the city they have now identified as Christians, Inspector Ishida and Miyamoto Usagi discover from a local street urchin that the shogun's men are combing the city for something one of the victims had in his possession at the time of his death. Still unaware of what they are looking for, or the motive for the crime, the pair go in search of the thief that looted the body before the shogun's men could claim their prize.

The first stop on their list is the local fence Master Win who has the box in his collection but not its contents. When the the fence refuses to offer any insight to where he acquired the object, Usagi offers some proper motivation by playing the fool and making vague threats towards the rest of the man's collection which will eventually lead them to the thief, Oda. However, there are those who want the prize for themselves and don't want either Ishida or Usagi uncovering any more of the mystery.

With the mystery picking up, but answers still alluding our heroes, there's lots here to enjoy. Worth a look.
