Using her knowledge of Darth Vader's identity to her benefit, Sabé leads Vader and an Imperial regiment after a local corrupt governor working with Crimson Dawn in creating a new weapon capable of extracting living energy. And, it turns out, the machine is capable of (at least temporarily) stopping a Dark Lord of the Sith as well.
As we've seen in previous issues of the series, recent events continue to flood Vader with memories as the machine's discovery leads to memories of the Death Star's destruction of Alderaan and Padmé pleading with Anakin to find the good within himself (which is also set against Sabé's recent attempts to play on Anakin's old allegiances). Stunned momentarily, but far from defeated, Vader goes after the fleeing governor likely leading to a deadly confrontation.
