With his memories returned, but still too old to remember magic, Duncan (Aaron Ashmore) is haunted by flashes of past memories he can't understand or put into proper context. While the Locke children search for an answer, at the rate Duncan is deteriorating will they be in time? Also tied to the Head Key, Kinsey (Emilia Jones) reabsorbs her fear which may be what she needs to question just what is going on with Gabe/Dodge (Griffin Gluck), and Jamie (Liyou Abere) uses the key to go into her own mind and find a clue to the Memory Key.
The search for the Memory Key ties into both Duncan's story and that of Tyler (Connor Jessup) who gives his girlfriend a great birthday present with a trip to England only to end in disaster as her forgetfulness towards magic leads to uncertainty, doubt, and a decision to leave all magic behind. After another failed attempt to get answers from a ghost, Gabe lucks into more material to make another key although he now realizes he will need a Locke in order to take the next step.
