The third episode of the Frenemies season finds Sylvester Pemberton (Joel McHale) out of control again jumping to conclusions after discovering that the the Gambler (Eric Goins) was blackmailing the Crocks leading to a very unheroic destruction of a grocery store by Starman. After being talked down by Pat (Luke Wilson) again, a more under control Starman will step into a different kind of trouble the by episode's end. From the grunting we hear, has an undead former foe finally emerged from his slumber?
The episode eliminates two suspects who never really fit the crime while continuing to tease someone watching events from behind the scenes. In other storylines Cindy (Meg DeLacy) continues to play her own game by alerting the JSA of the blackmail (and also reving Starman to go after them) but keeping her control of the laptop a secret while she attempts to access the files concerning herself and her father. We also get more of Cameron (Hunter Sansone) whose powers, and mood swings, continue to grow, and despite the awkward beginnings we are starting to see a real friendship developing between Paula (Joy Osmanski) and Barbara (Amy Smart) who each offer support (in their own way).
