The Big Bang Theory - The Workplace Proximity

Spending a little too much times with friends and loved ones is the theme of the latest episode as Sheldon (Jim Parsons) awlkwardly attempts to readjust to the new status quo when Amy (Mayim Bialik) takes a job at the university and Howard (Simon Helberg)  begins sleeping on Raj (Kunal Nayyar) couch after a fight with Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) once his wife overhears his advice to Sheldon about never wanting to work with your significant other.

Although it has its share of award moments (Sheldon's attempt at humor with Amy's colleagues falls flat), "The Workplace Proximity" provides several fun moments based on a simple concept: sometimes guys would rather spend their free time with friends (who enjoy the interests) rather than their wives or significant others (who often do not).

Amy's experiment gives us a humorous scene between Sheldon and a monkey and Sheldon's later hearfelt yet condescending attempt at an apology both work well. And Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) offer their friend no solace when Sheldon attempts to explain his side fo his fight with Amy is one of the season's better scenes. The Howard/Raj story might not be quite as good but it works well in reinforcing themes in the Sheldon's story rather than offer an unrelated B-story.
