Transformers #7

The Autobots and Decepticons stick to themselves in Transformers #7. The Autobots lick their wounds, struggling to keep repairing their brethren from Cyberton, and dealing with the fallout of recent events. Arcee attempts to console Carly whose hatred of Starscream and the Decepticons has only grown since Cliffjumper was unable to kill him, and we also get a story about the Autobot who taught her to be such a fearsome soldier (whose remains are found on Cybertron). And Optimus Prime has his first side-effect of Sparkplug's sacrifice.

It's with the Decepticons, however, where the big event lies as Soundwave, disgusted with Starscream's leadership and holding a grudge for what he did for Ravage, challenges for leadership of the Decepticons. And holy hell, does he put a beatdown on Starscream in a one-sided fight that leaves Starscream broken (but not dead) and the Decepticons rally around their new leader. The sequence leaves Soundwave looking strong and Starscream... not so much.
