Rookie Blue - Wanting

15 Division discovers three shooting victims in an apartment complex, one of who is the head of one of the local gangs who had been trying to set up a cease fire with other local gangs. With the escalation of a gang war simmering, 15 Division targets the head of the rival gang whose mark was found at the scene and who recently attempted to encroach into the Jamesons' territory. The truth, however, is a bit more complicated.

Concerned with Duncan (Matthew Owen Murray), Andy (Missy Peregrym) decides to take Oliver's (Matt Gordon) advice and loosen the reigns up a bit, but the consequence will put her life and danger and likely spell the end of his career on the force. Their discovery of the first victim, a part-time electrician who appears to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time, and whose son (Thamela Mpumlwana) Andy correctly guesses may have witnessed the shooting, leads to uncovering that one of the gang's own lieutenants shot his leader in an attempt to grab power and ignite the war.


On the relationship side of things Andy and Swarek (Ben Bass) continue to take things slow, and Nick (Peter Mooney) is dragged into the middle of Chloe (Priscilla Faia) and Epstein's (Gregory Smith) issues when Chloe begins to panic that they haven't been intimate since her shooting. Still feeling the break-up with Holly (Aliyah O’Brien), Gail (Charlotte Sullivan) discovers the body of a wounded woman in the building and despite doing her best to save the woman's life the subplot ends in tragedy with one final punch to the gut when the woman's young daughter shows up finally pushing Gail over the edge.

Duncan's cowardice puts Andy's life in danger and forces Officer McNally to come clean to Oliver about all of her concerns with the new recruit meaning we may have seen the last of Duncan in uniform (although given his connections, perhaps the story isn't finished just quite yet). "Wanting" also introduces a new subplot for Diaz (Travis Milne) whose odd behavior and constant tardiness is explained by his slow decent into drugs which will be further explored in next week's episode.
