Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Yes Men

The Asgardian siren Lorelei's (Elena Satine) arrival on Earth brings trouble to Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team when the enchantress bends Ward (Brett Dalton) to her will, as she does with all men she meets, and sets her sights on building and army and conquering all of Misgard. Luckily for S.H.I.E.L.D., Odin has sent Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) to Earth to help stop Lorelei and bring the witch home.

"Yes Men" provides several short action sequences including Sif vs. Lorelei, Sif vs. Lorelei's biker puppets, and a brainwashed Ward vs. May (Ming-Na Wen) which is far more violent that an usual lover's spat. The woman's destruction isn't just in the physical damage to the plane but it the emotional toll it leaves as May has to deal with both Ward's infidelity with the Asgardian as well as the reveal of his feelings for a recuperating Skye‘s (Chloe Bennet). That's hardly the only secret revealed as Coulson comes clean with Skye about the miracle drug which saved them both and May, who has known the truth all along, alerts someone (Fury?) to Coulson's discovery.

We don't get as much of Lorelei as I expected, and her choice for warriors (and Ward's tactical error to attack the team rather than build his new mistress a proper army) are mistakes that lead to her rather easy downfall. However, "Yes Men" does deliver plenty of action and a good excuse for bring Jaimie Alexander back to reprise her role of Sif from the Thor films. That, and the knowledge that May looks to be Fury's secret mole on Coulson's team, makes it one of the show's more memorable episodes so far.
