Scorpion - Going South

Walter's (Elyes Gabel) zealous nature to promote Scorpion leads the team into another dangerous situation when they accept a job from a billionaire tech mogul to find his daughter Zoe (Mia Serafino) who was kidnapped in Mexico by a drug cartel. Finding themselves stranded miles from town south of the border without the ransom money, which was taken from them by a different band of local criminals, the team has six hours to retrieve the stolen ransom money or find the kidnappers before their time runs out.

With no leads on the group that stole the money Scorpion puts their efforts into finding Zoe which involves automated gun turrets, hacking, and Happy (Jadyn Wong) putting her trust in a local kid, whose greed Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) turns to Scorpion's advantage. Despite the number of setbacks, and the hurt feelings from the rest of the team involving a news segment offering publicity for the agency but downplaying everyone's contributions except those of Walter, Scorpion manages to rally and make the save.

The episode's B-story finally addresses the burgeoning relationship between Sylvester (Ari Stidham) and Walter's sister Megan (Camille Guaty). As expected, Walter isn't thrilled with the news (but not for the reasons Sylvester suspects). Eventually accepting of the situation, the show opens the door for more of Sylvester and Megan which, given the episode's closing scene, can only mean good things for the series going forward.
