The Blacklist - The Kenyon Family

The latest target of The Blacklist Red Reddington (James Spader) sends Lizzie (Megan Boone) and the FBI isn't a single person but an entire cult whose anti-government leanings and polygomus practices haven't gone unnoticed by the FBI. Red isn't so interested in the charismatic leader Justin Kenyon, who claims to be a god, but the secret stashes of munitions and other secrets buried over the militia's hundreds of acres for select clientele, none of whom have heard from Kenyon in days.

The Lizzie murderer storyline is put on hold as she and the rest of her team journey into the bizarre compound to discover most of the cult slaughtered by former members who were forced to fend for themselves in the wilderness. By the time Red steps on the property the munition stores have already been cleared out but what the man is after on the property isn't so pedestrian as he walks away with an important looking silver briefcase from the car of a former President of the United States.

The bizarre nature of the Kenyon clan makes the episode memorable, as does the dead madman's plans of using children as suicide bombers. In overall themes the distrust between Lizzie and Reddington continues as does his search for Fitch's safe. Enlisting the help of his pain-in-the-ass DMV contact Glen (Clark Middleton) Reddington finds his prize in Russia in the episode's B-story but it turns out to be anything but what he was expecting.
